The GPS Microphone can be used as a traditional stand alone GPS unit or connect to a 2way radio and receive the added benefits of transmitting location, text messages, tracking information, etc over any radio network. Field users can locate group members positions, tracks, receives and sends text messages with no additional equipment.
The GPS MIcrophone can accommodate 9 x Groups of 10. However, integrated with Google Earth, Kmz, Gpx, etc navigational/mapping software the group configurations are unlimited. The navigational/mapping software adds a new dimention for uses e.g. accurately map the area covered by a search & rescue team; co-ordinate team members with the push of a button to ensure they are on target; produce mapping report in a court of law - possibilities are endless.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY
The GPS microphone is fitted with a mandown/SOS feature that when activated will continuously transmits the users GPS co-ordinates at pre-determined intervals. If used in conjunction with the lone worker feature (which is now standard in many 2way radio brands) it will provide an invaluable safety mechanism for staff working unsupervised.
